This post talks about the new very very easy to use jailbreak. Just point your iOS device safari browser at:

No need for mac or pc to jailbreak with this - do it all from your iOS device. However there is the issue the there are some issues.

I would highly suggest you hold off right now - as there are still some tech issues - especially with Facetime and MMS.

I am sure there will be updates on this coming soon.

Installed on my 3GS running 4.0.1. Easiest jailbreak ever. No problems, no snags, no issues. So far...

Thanks for the video I jailbroke and didn't have any issues with Facetime I haven't tried MMS as I do not use that very often.. but so far so good!

Used it to jailbreak my 3GS. Worked great except for the MMS problem. Woke up this morning to find that there's already a fix for it - downloaded and now it's 100%. Can't wait for the unlock promised in the next '48 hours'...

I did the jailbreak on a 3GS. It was easy! It did take several times to get Cydia to fully update. I had to put my password in for voice mail access. Other than that it seems to be working fine. Thanks Rob.

Jailbreak installer crashed each time i tried to install it... Think i'll wait...

The jailbreak went fine on my iPhone 3G running 4.01. I was able to install Rock and then MyWi 4....it's all working so far. I made sure to reboot phone after every download & install just to make sure.

I took the opportunity to jailbreak my ipad, running 3.2.1 at the time. It took about 10 seconds to download from safari, and 30 seconds to jailbreak the ipad. Cydia was installed and then updated. Backrounder was installed and then the ipad locked. I restarted it twice, and it worked fine. I installed my themes and its pretty much like it was as in the Spirit jailbreak. However, it does take longer to download new Cydia software and to restart the ipad. I am hoping this is due to the many people jailbreaking their phones, and ipads at the same time. Right now, i'm pretty happy and i think its safe to upgrade your ipad 3.2.1 Thanks Evan

3G data also does not work, Edge is ok.
