iPad 2 Line updates

I ordered through the apple store at 6:30am EST and was getting a 5-7 day ship time.

I noticed the shipping times on the iPads has gone from 1 - 3 business days to 2 - 3 weeks.

Lot of unhappy people that thought they'd be getting one at 10am.

Got here at 7:30, so far the only one to stay. Got my lawn chair,
blanket, water and determination.

They will close this afternoon at 3 to set up for a 5:00pm opening.

Apple Store - Temecula CA - 12 in Line 10:00 AM PT

Hey Rob,

Chris in Temecula again, did a drive by on the Temecula Apple Store and there is less than 12 people in line with their folding chairs and black umbrellas. Looks like the store is ready for people to line up though as they have a cart of bottled water and more umbrellas outside the door. It is now 10 am.

I am in line at the Apple store in West Palm Beach at the Wellington Green mall. It is 2:30 and there are 67 people in line. The person in the first position tells me he got into line at 8:30 last night.

Hey Rob,

Called the local Verizon store in Michigan and they have no iPads in the store. He said Apple release them so fast that they was unable to get them from the warehouse to the Verizon store in time for today. But he did say that you could call back after 5 and they would take your order and ship the iPad Monday. 

I ordered my iPad 2 from the apple website this morning and received a order acknowledge a few hours later. In the acknowledgment it claims to ship the iPad 2 in 3-5 business days with a estimated delivery of Mar 18-25! There is some good news, my smart cover has a delivery date of Mar 18-21 lol. I guess apple didn't want to leave me empty handed and hopes the smart cover will hold me over until my iPad 2 comes!

Apple just gave out 20oz bottles of SmartWater to all.

Hey Rob!

Just wanted to give u a status update from San Antonio, TX. Just showed up to BEST BUY @ the Forum about 4:00pm. Line isn't bad - about 17 people ahead of me laughing and joking with each other just trying to beat the heat. Best buy is handing out tickets @ 430 and product @ 500pm. Im hopeful, but it's not the end of the world if I don't get one.
